Here are the concept designs for the original Diaclone Convoy toys that eventually became Optimus Prime and Ultra Magnus. Some of it looks familiar, but a lot of it contains strange, discarded concepts, like the trailer that becomes some kind of quadrupedal mount, and the unused tanker design that would have been great for G2. I always love seeing where these designs started compared to what we got in the finished product. Enjoy!
